Solvent-based adhesives offer a host of benefits that promote clean, durable bonds in a wide variety of environments and applications. Capable of generating near-permanent bonds between all sorts of different surfaces, solvent-based adhesives are commonly used to join popular plastics, including acrylic, polycarbonate, PETG, and PVC.
Because they’re clear and offer low viscosity, solvent-based adhesives are commonly used in point-of-purchase (POP) and sign applications. Due to their low viscosity, these adhesives can also be applied at an edge, where they will wick within joints via capillary action. What’s more, this durable, convenient bonding solution dries in less than 30 seconds and cures within 3-5 minutes, resulting in a pull strength of 2500 to 3200 PSI.
